See the difference in finished marks
For the standard Fiber configuration compared here, choose conventional text, logos and identification marks. For color marking on stainless steel, choose a suitable MOPA configuration. Our standard Fiber configuration does not provide the stainless-steel color-marking capability shown below.

Text, logos and identification images. Supplied sample reference from our Fiber product page.
Colored butterfly sample from the original MOPA product material. Color depends on stainless-steel grade, surface finish and processing settings.
These are separate application references, not a controlled test on identical workpieces. Send your actual material and artwork for a representative sample.
For metal names, logos and identification marks, start by comparing the required finish with samples from the proposed configuration. If your project needs decorative color on suitable stainless steel, include a MOPA configuration in that comparison.
Compare the configurations

LZ-F20W MOPA configuration
Include this configuration when evaluating decorative color on suitable stainless steel. Confirm the result with a sample.
Machine photographs show the referenced products. The sample result and final quotation determine the appropriate configuration.
Define the result before choosing the source
“Fiber laser” describes a broad equipment family. The source model, pulse settings, lens and control configuration all matter. A machine described as MOPA should be evaluated using its specific source specifications and a sample of your material; the label alone does not guarantee a particular color or finish.
For ordinary identification, compare text clarity, contrast and processing time. For decorative work, also compare color consistency and how the appearance changes with lighting and viewing angle. Use the same alloy and surface finish for approval and production.
Keep the comparison fair
Ask for the same artwork on the same material, with the tested source and lens identified. Record whether a visible effect comes from marking the metal or removing a coating. Color marking is not a promise of arbitrary printed-color reproduction across all metals.
What to include in your inquiry
Provide the metal grade, surface treatment, artwork size, desired appearance and expected quantity. Mention any cylindrical workpieces so that fixture or rotary requirements can be evaluated.
Compare the LZ-T5 desktop fiber marker with the LZ-F20W MOPA configuration. Request a sample test on the product page. The exact MOPA source model and pulse-setting range are confirmed in the quotation.
